Deirdre has worked with infants and children for over fifteen yearsacross a range of settings; community care, disability and acuteservices which has provided a birdseye view of early speech, language and feeding difficulties and their impact across the lifespan. She hasmost recently focused on proactive interventions for high risk infants in neonatal care, providing best practice feeding and communication input to babies and their families from antenatal settings right through their journey to home. This most recent project -BabyTalk- is a culmination of audit, quality improvement and healthy promotion to maximise neuro developmental outcomes for babies and to support their families.
